Two outstanding drone masterpieces on show here. Zachary seems to have mastered the intricacies of subtle pitch and tempo fluctuation. This stuff is so good that I'm happy to speak of it in the same breath as La Monte Young's work and John Cale's Sun Blindness Music. I'm getting a very similar and comparable vibe. Well done Zach. Magnificent.

With this new record Gossimer has really hit on something mysterious, honest, curious, and, in moments, downright anthemic and rocking. Echoes of Vashti Bunyan, Karen Dalton and even more obscure voices like Reiko Kudo can be heard fluttering in the record's tender makeup. Patient and honest, these songs, often wrapped in beautiful horn and woodwind arrangements, bare an earthy and observant soul that asks us to look closely at the images and sounds we've been made privy to.
